  • Space Academy Holiday Club 2013 (24 photos)

Following on from last year's successful 'On Your Mark's Holiday Club, Kirkham Methodist Church and Christ Church Wesham held Space Academy Holiday Club during July 2013.
Space Commanders Colin Marchment and Julie Jones along with fourteen space lieutenants helped forty Space cadets achieve their goal of becoming Astronauts.

As Astronauts-in training the cadets made amazing discoveries about God. They heard how God worked through Daniel and his friends and they were challenged about what it means to follow God and to live boldly for him and to have confidence in God's power.
We all enjoyed a week of Crafts, Music, Games, Food, Space facts and videos.
Hear are some photographs as a record of our journey.

  • Flower Festival 'CELEBRATE' 2012 (8 photos)

Overview of Festival celebrating 125 years of KMC on current site.

What a wonderful weekend we enjoyed in November 2012 celebrating 125 years of Methodism on the Nelson Street site.

The title of the Flower Festival summed it up in one word ‘Celebrate’ and we certainly did. The church and community users of our building came together to make many splendid displays of flowers, telling the story of Kirkham & Wesham community and church working together.Flower Festival

Thirteen stations displayed an artistic arrangement of flowers and artwork, and through a biblical verse linked our Christian message of God’s love for all.

We were so grateful to all who came from within our community and South Fylde circuit to share in our celebration, and enjoyed our hospitality of mulled wine (non alcoholic) and mince pies as well as Coffee/tea and tea cakes all served in the newly decorated room and crush hall which looked very splendid.

All this could not have been accomplished if there had not been a strong team of dedicated ladies who worked really hard and well together making the whole experience very enjoyable.

So a big thank you to all within the church, Christina of Creations, Sheila Chadwick from Barrowford for making that part of our celebrations such a success.
